The system was designed by Dr. Andrew Krakowski (or “Dr. K” as he is better known to his patients and their families) and Dr. David Hanson. Dr. K is a pediatric and adolescent dermatologist and the father of two young boys with sensitive skin. Dr. Hanson is a pediatrician with specific expertise in caring for pediatric patients with impaired immune systems. The two physicians met while working at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute, where they were inspired to create an eczema management system that utilizes “education” as a primary intervention and employs optimized scientific formulations as the backbone for a complete treatment regimen.
