Our Physician Founders
We are not actors. We are not corporate suits. We did not cook up a batch of some homemade concoction and call it an "eczema solution." To the contrary, our formulations represent our collective knowledge and combined experience from successfully treating thousands of patients for over 20 years each! We met at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute where we trained professionally to become pediatricians. Now, we are both board-certified experts in our respective fields of pediatric dermatology (Dr. K) and pediatrics (Dr. Dave). We enjoy thriving careers in healthcare, and we treat real-life patients like you and your child every day. Most importantly, we are parents who demand the best for our own children and want the same for yours.

Our Story
We first met while training as pediatricians at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute, in Baltimore, Maryland. Working 80+ hour weeks, running on fumes, and getting next-to-no sleep, we became good friends and dedicated our lives to caring for the health and well-being of other people's children. Nearly twenty years later - with our own kids now! - we created pediadermics® to put our clinical expertise to good use and help children everywhere enjoy healthier skin.
Some of the obstacles we set out to address are as follows:
- Confusing marketing around gimmicky products put out by non-experts (e.g., actresses, bloggers, influencers, etc.) looking to increase their own financial gain;
- Difficulty keeping straight “what to do first,” “what to do next,” and “how to do it” correctly;
- Expensive "chichi" products that were infused with the latest essence or Internet fad but were capable of causing more harm than good on kids’ sensitive skin;
- The tendency to give up too early on treatment because realistic expectations were never explained;
- Too many "single bottle" options in the local drugstore claiming to cure everything from eczema to Athlete’s foot;
- Using “too little” of a medication (because of concern for possible side effects) or “too much” of one product instead of a complete treatment regimen (because that is what is available)
As a result of our real-world experiences, our condition-specific formulations and the instructions we utilize on our packaging are all designed to educate families on how proper use leads to better clinical results. We are proud to be the bridge between "diagnosis" and "expert treatment," and we are honored to partner with you and your child on the journey to healhy skin!
